PURPOSE: To reduce vibration and noises during operation to improve the reliability for a long time operation by providing a balancing weight for adjusting rotational balance at required places between the adjacent eccentric portions of a crankshaft to reduce the weight of a balancing weight added to a rotary member.
CONSTITUTION: The eccentric portions 4a, 4b of d crankshaft 4 are inserted respectively inside an upper cylinder 5 and a lower cylinder 6 arranged at an identical shaft in the compression mechanism portion B of a closed vessel 1, in a rotary compressor. Consequently, the weight of balancing weights 18, 19 fitted to the upper portion and the lower portion of a rotary member 3 is reduced to smaller centrifugal force and bending moment applied to the crankshaft 4. The flexibility of the crankshaft 4 during rotation is decreased so that vibration and noises can be reduced. Load applied to bearing 8, 9 is reduced, and also because the balancing weight 21 is formed integral with the crankshaft 4 the rigidity of the crankshaft 4 is increased to be able to improve reliability for a long time operation.
