PURPOSE: To reduce the sliding speed between a cylinder and vanes in a captioned compressor used for car coolers by providing a vane compressor with a specific crank mechanism.
CONSTITUTION: When a shaft 1 is driven to turn in the direction (n), the center axis B-B of the shaft 1 is turned eccentrically by D from the revolution axis A-A. At this time, a cylinder 4 is restricted from self rotation around its axis with both ends of its respective vanes 3a, 3b caught by parallel faces 4a-4a, 4b-4b, while being only allowed to make orbitral revolution in the direction (n). The vanes 3a, 3b resultantly make reciprocating motion along the parallel faces 4a-4a, 4b-4b of the cylinder and slide in the radial direction of a rotor 2 as well. An intake port 1a which is made in the shaft 1 is turned in the direction (n) about a revolution axis A-A. As the result, sliding speed of the vanes 3a, 3b may slowed down, thereby reducing a frictional loss at ends of the venes.
