To provide a rotary connector, which is an electric connector for conductive connection, with one connector component relatively rotating with respect to another connector component, achieving high reliability and durability.
The rotary connector 1 includes a multipole plug 10 and a multipole jack 20. A plurality of electrodes 11a-11e are exposed sequentially in an axial direction on a core bar part 14 of the multipole plug 10 with insulating collars 12a-12d interposed therebetween. A bearing 17 is formed on a tip end of the core bar part 14 of the multipole plug 10. The multipole jack 20 includes two pairs of conductive terminals 23a-23e, 24a-24e, which are in conductive contact with the electrode 11, and a rotation shaft 25 installed in a deep part of a plug housing space. In connecting the multipole plug 10 and the multipole jack 20, the rotating shaft 25 is rotatably supported on the bearing 17.
