PURPOSE: To provide a titled device which corrects straightforward a bar-shaped body without deforming and damaging the same by mounting rotatably rings to the supporting parts and loading parts of the bar-shaped body and providing a link mechanism which absorbs the relative displacement of the rings when the bar-shaped body is bent.
CONSTITUTION: A motor 7 is driven to rotate via a universal joint 6 a bar- shaped body 1 together with backup rings 13, 14, 23, 24 attached to the supporting parts and loading parts thereof. When the body 1 is bent by exerting load to a loading piece 12, the displacement generated at the end of the body 1 is absorbed by the universal joint. Rings 17, 18 for supporting, the rings 23, 24 and loading rings 8, 9 and the rings 13, 14 incline as well according to the bending of the body 1, thereby generating relative displacement in the supporting parts and the loading parts. The displacement is absorbed by the follow-up movement of links 19, 20, 10, 11 connected to the rings 17, 18, 8, 9. The deformation and buckling in the section of the body 1 in the stage of rotary correction of the bend thereof are thus prevented.
