Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotary cutting tool having a high process tolerance.SOLUTION: A rotary cutting tool comprises a base metal, and a single crystal diamond chip 110 provided at a circumference of the base metal. The single crystal diamond chip 110 has an outer peripheral cutting edge 115 and a front cutting edge 111, and a margin 116 provided on a rotation direction rear side of the outer peripheral cutting edge 115. An angle between a tangential plane 117 of a center part of a width of the margin 116 in a rotation direction and (100) plane or (110) plane of the single crystal diamond chip 110 is 8° or less, and a height of an irregularity of a ridge 116a, which extends along the margin from an intersection point of the outer peripheral cutting edge 115 and the front cutting edge 111 in a direction different from that of the outer peripheral cutting edge and the front cutting edge, viewed from a direction perpendicular to the tangential plane 117 is 7 μm or less.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
