Title:
ROTARY CUTTING TOOL
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3835052
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control more roughness of the machined face of a material to be cut while preventing the displacement of a cartridge during high-speed rotation.
SOLUTION: A rotary cutting tool 30 has a recessed groove 3 formed in the outer periphery of the end. A cartridge 4 having a throwaway tip 8 at the end is mounted in the recessed groove 3. The cartridge 4 is fixed to a tool mainbody 2 with a bolt 5. The cartridge 4 has a plate protrusion 4A protruded from the mainbody of the cartridge 4 in the direction of crossing the upper face 8A of the throwaway tip 8 and formed near the throwaway tip 8 at the end of the bolt 5. The protrusion 4A is abutted on the bottom of the recessed groove 3 to form a screw insertion hole 31 passing through the protrusion 4A in the radial direction of the tool mainbody 2. A screw hole 32 facing to the opening of the insertion hole 31 and tending to the radial inside is formed in the tool mainbody 2. A clamp screw 33 is inserted into the screw insertion hole and screwed into the screw hole 32 for fixing the cartridge 4 to the tool mainbody 2.
