PURPOSE: To provide a rotary cylinder type cooling treatment device, employed optimally for the matter to be treated, having a low viscosity, especially and improved so as to be capable of treating without spoiling the efficiency of cooling treatment on the surface of a cylindrical body.
CONSTITUTION: The inside of a cylindrical body 4 is provided with a cooling mechanism 6 for cooling the cylindrical body and a doctor plate 15 is arranged so as to be approached obliquely from the upper part of the elevating surface side of rotation of the cylindrical body 4 while the reservoir 18 or the matter 3 to be treated is formed between the elevating surface side of rotation of the cylindrical body 4 and the upper surface of the doctor plate 15. An endless belt 7 is provided for transferring the matter 3 to be treated, which is supplied to the reservoir 18 and adhered to the surface of the cylindrical body 4 in accordance with the rotation of the same, while being adhered to the cylindrical body 4 as it is and suspended along the outer periphery of the cylindrical body 4 from the descending surface side of the rotation of the cylindrical body 4 to the lower surface side of the same.
