Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide stable damping characteristics for a large torque for a rotary damper to be mounted in a car or the like without increasing the size or weight of the device.
CONSTITUTION: An inner part of a casing 2 for supporting an input shaft 1 freely rotatably is oil-tightly sealed, a ring gear 7 about the center of the casing 2 is formed at an inner circumference of the casing 2, and a sun gear 13 is formed at an outer circumference of the input shaft 1. A separator 14 for separating these into a plural oil chambers at a constant interval along the circumference, and a planet gear 16 which revolves on the ring gear 7 while rotating in the oil chamber according to rotation of the sun gear are provided.
