To provide a rotary decorative body assuming an aspect which is difficult to expect from the aspect at a stop and various articles using the body, considering that articles for rotary decoration are simple in terms of shapes or coloring and poor in design properties and that even well-contrived ones have considerable differences between appearances in rotation and appearances at stoppage and are insufficient in unexpectedness.
A rotary decorative body 1 is constituted in such a manner that a horizontal section 3 in a part at a prescribed position (a) has a virtual plane 6 which is surrounded by a virtual circumference 5 of which the radius is the longest diameter (d) from the axis 2 of a top to the outer periphery thereof, and of which a part including the outer periphery 7 thereof is made a fracture part 8. A prescribed pattern 17 is provided on a wall surface 16 which is formed by a collected body 9 of the fracture parts constructed in a shape having at least a part of the contour thereof inside the virtual circumference and constituted of the fracture parts stacked by that the individual, horizontal sections are stacked in the direction of the thickness along the axis of the rotary decorative body and which is constituted of a superposition of contours b1 of the individual fracture parts. When the decorative body is rotated around the axis as the axis of rotation, the part of the collected body of the fracture parts looks translucent and a prescribed concrete pattern appears according to the pattern of the wall surface.
