Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotary drive device.SOLUTION: A rotary drive device comprises a housing element 12, a drive shaft 16 rotatably mounted in the housing element, a driven shaft 18 rotatably mounted in the housing element, and a transmission device 20 for transmitting a torque from the drive shaft to the driven shaft. The transmission device comprises a brake device 30 that is configured to counteract rotation of the drive shaft by braking force. The brake device comprises a coupling element by which when the coupling element is located in a first position, braking force exerted by the brake device is larger than that when the coupling element is located in a second position. The coupling element is arranged to the driven shaft so that adjustment of the coupling element from the first position to the second position is triggered by exceeding a first threshold value on the difference in torque between the drive shaft and the driven shaft.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
