Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a rotary drum excellent in sticking and exfoliation of slag by providing necessary number of grooves, projections etc. on the surface of a rotary drum for molten slag processing.
CONSTITUTION: Molten slag from a blast furnace, converter etc. is stuck to the surface of a rotary drum and solidified by quenching. The quenched, solidified slag is then stripped off from the surface of the drum and processed. At this time, at least one of necessary number of grooves, projections and hollows is provided on the surface of the rotary drum. By this way, a rotary drum for molten slag processing excellent in sticking and exfoliation of molten slag to be quenched and solidified can be obtained.
