Abstract:
In a rotary drum, such as a rotary tube oven, drum drier or such like, sealing rings are provided for sealing between the rotary drum (1) and a fixed housing part (2), which sealing rings must not be subjected to excessive stresses resulting from axial movements of the rotary drum end to which the sealing rings are fitted. For this purpose, the fixed housing part (2) is designed such that it can move longitudinally and transversely by means of sliding elements (10, 11, 12) guided by slots and springs (13, 14). The longitudinal movement is transmitted by means of rails (19), fitted to the housing part, whose free ends each carry two rollers (20, 21), which are subject to the influence of a ring flange (22) on the rotary drum (1).
