To prolong the life of an insulator of a stator coil 21 by making circumferential temperature distribution substantially uniform in a terminal portion 21a of the stator coil 21 in a rotary electric machine 20 which comprises a casing 22 for insulating a rotor and the stator 21 from the outside and in which the stator coil 21 is cooled by supplying a cooling medium 24 from a cooling medium inlet provided in the casing 22 to the axially terminal portion of the stator coil 21, circulating the cooling medium to the inside and the outside of the rotary electric machine 20, and discharging the cooling medium from an axially central portion of the stator coil 21.
The electric rotary machine comprises a rectification member 27 which is disposed along an outer circumferential surface of the stator coil 21 in the vicinity of the axially terminal portion 21a of the stator coil 21 and prevents a pressure loss of the cooling medium 24 which releases heat in the terminal portion 21a of the stator coil 21, from being varied in a circumferential direction of the stator coil 21.
