Title:
ROTARY ELECTRIC MACHINE FOR VEHICLE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3964378
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a rotary electric machine which can effectively make use of the magnetic flux generated in the core of a rotor by the current application to field winding, and can efficiently utilize the additional magnetic flux by a permanent magnet, by specifying the form of the circumferential flank of the permanent magnet to the form of the circumferential flank of a claw-shaped magnetic pole.
SOLUTION: The first and second permanent magnets 20A, 20B are so arranged as to contact the circumferential flanks of the first and second claw-shaped magnetic poles 19A, 19B, in each between the first and second claw-shaped magnetic poles 19A, 19B adjoining each other in circumferential direction. Then, it is constituted so that the axial length (L1) of a stator core 13 may fulfill L1>L2, to the axial distance (L2) between the opposed end faces of the first and second yokes 18A, 18B.
