To provide a rotary electric machine having improved cooling performance while maintaining insulation properties.
The rotary electric machine has a stator 20 in which each stator coil is wound around each tooth part of a core, and a rotor arranged on the inner peripheral side of the stator 20 via a gap so as to be freely rotatably supported. The rotary electric machine is cooled by a refrigerant. Each stator coil has a coil end part protruding from the axial end part of the stator 20. A power distribution part 27 is supported by a resin-made holder and has each conductor connected to each stator coil. The power distribution part 27 is placed above the coil end parts, thereby forming a gap 28 between the end part of the stator core and the lower face of the power distribution part, which constitutes a refrigerant passage.
