To provide a rotary electric machine that can reduce a harmonic component of the (2p+1) order of electromagnetic excitation force.
A plurality of permanent magnets 12 are arranged circularly around an axis Q3, and form 2p magnetic pole faces on an outer peripheral surface generating alternatively different magnetic poles in a circumferential direction centered on the axis Q3. A stator includes 3p teeth 33. The 3p teeth 33 include an extension part 31. A wire is wound around the extension part 31 by concentrated winding. An opposite surface 321 of the teeth 33 has a first shape which is closer to a back yoke 30 side than a first virtual arc A1 defined by a first radius R passing through two points 321a closest to a rotor 1 and centered on the axis Q3. A second radius r is smaller than the first radius R, where, the second radius r makes an area surrounded by a second virtual arc A2 defined by the second radius r passing through the two points 321a and the first virtual arc A1 equal to an area surrounded by the opposite surface 321 and the first virtual arc A1.
