Abstract:

To further improve a cooling performance in a rotary electric machine comprising a stator core formed from a powder magnetic material.

A rotary electric machine 1 comprises: a rotor 14; a stator 20 including a stator core 30 formed annular from a powder magnetic substance, provided with a plurality of slots 31 arrayed in a circumferential direction, and disposed outside of the rotor 14 while opposing the rotor 14 in a radial direction, and a stator coil 40 wound around the slots 31 of the stator core 30; and a rear housing 10a as a tubular member fitted to an outer circumferential surface of the stator core 30 and forming a coolant passage 16 extending in a circumferential direction between the rear housing and the stator core 30. In the stator core 30, an introduction passage 37 is provided for radially communicating the coolant passage 16 and the slots 31 and introducing a coolant from the coolant passage 16 into the slots 31.
