Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotary electric machine capable of improving a cooling performance of magnets provided in a rotor core.SOLUTION: The rotary electric machine comprises: a rotor 2 circumferentially supporting a plurality of permanent magnets 21 on a rotor core 20 supported on a rotary shaft 1 in an integrally rotatable manner; and a plurality of magnet insertion holes 25 circumferentially juxtaposed while axially penetrating the rotor core 20 for supporting the permanent magnets 21 in an inserted state. The rotary electric machine further comprises a cooling fluid flow passage 40 including: a rotary shaft flow passage 41 which is axially formed in the rotary shaft 1 and to which a cooling fluid is supplied; a radial flow passage 42 for radially guiding the cooling fluid in the rotary shaft flow passage through the rotary shaft 1 and the rotor 2 to the magnet insertion holes 25; a rotor axial flow passage 43 formed between an inner circumference of the magnet insertion holes 25 and an outer circumference of the permanent magnets 21 for axially guiding the cooling fluid in the radial flow passage 42; and a discharge flow passage 44 as a discharge part for guiding the cooling fluid from the rotor axial flow passage 43 to the outside of the rotor.
