Abstract:
To provide a rotary electric machine capable of filling a rotor bar material into a through hole with less pressure.SOLUTION: A rotary electric machine according to one embodiment includes a stator, a shaft, a rotor core, and a plurality of conductive rotor bars. The shaft is rotatable about the axis of rotation with respect to the stator. The rotor core is coupled to the shaft. The rotor bars are filled into a plurality of through holes of the rotor core, respectively, the through holes opening to both end faces of the rotor core in an axial direction while being disposed to be spaced apart from each other in a circumferential direction. The rotor core has an outer peripheral surface facing the stator and inner surfaces of the plurality of through holes. The plurality of through holes each is formed in a columnar or elliptical columnar shape, or the inner surfaces of the plurality of through holes each has a plurality of flat surfaces and a plurality of corner parts each of which connects two adjacent flat surfaces among the plurality of flat surfaces, two or more of the plurality of corner parts each having an arc-shaped curved surface.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
