Abstract:
PURPOSE:To prevent a deterioration of the insulator near the separator, with an axial-way temperature change of the stator core moderated, by means of adjusting a quantity of the coolant flowing into an air gap from the end part, with a shielding plate provided near the stator core end. CONSTITUTION:In the rotary machine of short rotor system, to inner circumferential face of an air duct 9 near the end part of stator core, is secured by a bonding agent a shielding plate 14, made of non-magnetic hard insulator, of ring-shape almost continuous in the circumferential direction. Accordingly, a gap length d of air gap 12 can make an adjustment of distribution among quantities W1, W2, W3 of the coolant passing through cooling routes Q1, Q2, Q3. In such cooling system, with a temperature change slope B near a separator 13 moderated, the stator winding 3 near around this position can be prevented from causing a deterioration of the insulator.
