To provide a rotary electronic component in which a resistance with moderate stickiness in a rotation of a rotary knob is obtained and the resistance is hardly affected by a temperature.
The rotary electronic component includes a case 120, a rotary body 70 which is housed rotatable in a housing portion 127 of the case 120 and includes a shaft member 150 projected from an upper surface of the case 120, a sliding piece 80 or the like which changes an electric output by a rotation of the rotary body 70, and a rotary knob 200 fixed on the shaft member 150. On the upper surface of the case 120, there are formed a bearing projected portion 131 which is projected upward and axially supports the shaft member 150 and a grease filling portion 135 with a projected and enclosing portion 133 to surround a circumference of the bearing projected portion 131, and a resistance loading portion 159 provided on the shaft member 150 is inserted in a grease 220 filled up in the grease filling portion 135, while an elastically contacting spring 110 which elastically contacts with the rotary body 70 and loads a resistance to rotation is provided in the housing portion 127.
