Abstract:
A rotary fluid machine is provided with a space having an optimum volume required for sealing refrigeration machine oil used in a compressor. This allows the level of the refrigeration machine oil to be maintained to an appropriate level and makes the compressor small size, highly efficient, and reliable. A rotary fluid machine is provided, in a container thereof, with a crankshaft having an eccentric section, a compression mechanism driven by the eccentric section, and a closing member for closing the compression mechanism in the direction of the axis of the crankshaft. The compression mechanism is provided with a cylinder, a roller provided in the cylinder and rotationally driven by the eccentric section, a closing member for closing the cylinder in the axial direction, a vane extending to the outer periphery of the roller and entering and exiting, according to an eccentric motion of the roller, from a containing section provided in the cylinder, and a spring for pressing the vane to the roller. Recesses are provided in the outer periphery of the cylinder or the closing member.
