Title:
ROTARY HANDLE ATTACHABLE TO OBJECT HAVING LONGITUDINAL EXTENT
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2017137194
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an art for a rotary handle releasably attachable to an object, which does not subject a hinge of the handle to the load applied by the object.SOLUTION: A rotatable handle 10 attachable to a tubular object includes an auxiliary handle 12 circumscribing a hand passageway 16 configured to receive the user's hand therein. A clutch biased in an engaged position operatively couples a shank extending from an upper end of a hook 14 attachable to an object to a collar formed integrally as a portion of the auxiliary handle 12 to thereby prevent the shank from rotating relative to the collar. A ratchet on the upper end of the hook 14 cooperates with a pawl 76 on a pivot arm 70 which is attached to a lower end of the hook 14 and which extends toward the ratchet and is rotatable about a transverse axis perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the shank to adjust the size of an object passageway 32 which receives and releasably retains an object therein.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
