Abstract:
PURPOSE:To prevent valve plugs fro being unevenly worn to increase durability by forming the valve plugs so that they can be freely rotated and reciprocated around the centers of port holes with rotating angle of about 180 degrees when rotating bodies turning around their shaft are employed as the valve plugs of inlet and exhaust valves. CONSTITUTION:The rotary inlet and exhaust valve device 100 is equipped with an inlet side rotary valve plug 11 and an exhaust side rotary valve plug 2, a cam shaft 3 interlocked with a crankshaft through a belt, and cams 4, 5 provided on the cam shaft 3. Each valve plug 1, 2 are nearly cylindrical and provided with port holes 12, 22 in the direction of intersecting each rotary shaft, corresponding to an inlet port I and an exhaust port O. The cams 4, 5 and rotary valve gears 13, 23 are connected to each other through rocker arms 6, 7, and the valve plugs 1, 2 are rotated are reciprocated around the centers of the port holes 12, 22 with rotatating angle of about 180 degrees by means of rotation of the cam shaft 3 to open or close the inlet port I or exhaust port O.
