Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an engine configuration simplifying its design at a rotor synchronization system by making a minimum parasitic volume.SOLUTION: A rotary internal combustion engine of this invention comprises a main body, two main bodies form ring-like walls that are perpendicular to each other, the walls form two passages, each of the passages includes two torus-shaped rotors 3, 4 that can move along grooves. Each of the torus-shaped rotors is made while having a longitudinal notch positioned outside or inside the rotors forming cavities between the rotors and the groove surface, the cavities are connected to a chamber positioned outside the walls. Intake and exhaust windows 17, 18 are communicated with the cavities between the rotors and the groove surface and formed at the walls. The rotors are connected with rotating synchronous parts composed of a plurality of gears 7, 8, 9 to each other. One of the gears is engaged with one torus-shaped rotor and the last one of the gears is connected to an output shaft rigidly connected to the other torus-shaped rotor.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
