Abstract:

To provide a rotary-linear motion converting mechanism excellent in assembling workability and in which a backlash is set to a desired amount, and to provide its assembling method.

The assembling method of the rotary-linear motion converting mechanism is an assembling method of the planetary working screw type rotary-linear conversion mechanism. In this assembling method, the linear motion of a sun shaft 31 and a rotary motion of a nut 51 are converted with each other via a plurality of planetary shafts 41 arranged between the sun shaft 31 and the nut 51, and screwed to the sun shaft 31 and the nut 51. The assembling method of the rotary-linear motion converting mechanism includes the steps of: assembling by inserting the plurality of planetary shafts 41 and the sun shaft 31 in the nut 51; and after assembling, reducing a backlash including at least one of steps of widening the diameter of the sun shaft 31 and reducing the diameter of the nut 51.
