To provide a smaller improved high electric power output machine by integrally forming a spiral flow compressor/turbine mounted with a spiral flow compressor impeller having plural blades of at least a single row with a permanent magnet motor/generator having a permanent magnet stator around a rotor.
A spiral flow machine functions as a compressor or a turbine, and a permanent magnet machine functions as a motor or a generator. In a spiral flow compressor/turbine permanent magnet motor/generator 10, an impeller 23 to rotate between fixed channel plates 32 and 33 is mouned on one end of a shaft 20, and a permanent magnet rotor 27 to rotate in a permanent magnet stator 28 is mouned on the other end between bearings 21 and 22. A fluid inlet 12 extends from both inlets of fluid stator channels 38 and 40, and a fluid outlet extends from both outlets. A convergent nozzle passage and a divergent diffuser passage connected to the stator channel 40 convert fluid pressure energy into fluid speed energy, or perform its inverse conversion. As a result, an improved machine can be provided.
