Abstract:
PURPOSE: To record and reproduce a signal on plural kinds of magnetic tapes.
CONSTITUTION: It is featured that 1/2 and 1/3 inch wide magnetic tapes aa and bb are traveled respectively along the same lead 1A formed on a drum 1 to be in contact with to form tracks having the same track angle α respectively, and when the latter is recorded, the recording is performed in compressing the time base by using a time base compressing circuit 26, and when this is reproduced, the reproducing is performed in expanding the time base by using a time base expanding circuit 33.
