Title:
ROTARY MATRIX TYPE HEAT EXCHANGER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3553163
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain a rotary matrix type heat exchanger having merits of both of a seal member constituted of a felt material and a seal member constituted of a rubber material that they require little power for rotating a rotor while being excellent in sealing properties, and having a structure necessitating few numbers of components.
CONSTITUTION: In a rotary matrix type heat exchanger equipped with a rotor 20 rotating across two gas passages 12 and 13, brush-shaped seal members preventing leakage between the upstream side and the downstream side of the two gas passages 12 and 13 and/or between the two gas passages 12 and 13 are provided in contact with the surfaces of the rotor 20. Besides, a film- shaped seal member coming into contact with the circumferential surface of the rotor 20 from the upstream side and a film-shaped seal member coming into contact with it from the downstream side are provided respectively, the state of contact of these seal members with the circumferential surface of the rotor 20 is held from outside by brushes and thereby the leakage between the upstream side and the downstream side of the gas passages 12 and 13 is prevented.
