To enhance combustibility of an air-fuel mixture, by restraining sticking of fuel to a wall surface, by promoting vaporization and atomization of fuel sprays S1 and S2 by utilizing an intake flow, in a rotary piston engine 1 for directly injecting the fuel into an operation chamber 5.
This fuel injection system has first and second injectors 30 and 31 injecting the fuel by respectively pointing to an intake port 11. The fuel spray S1 of the first injector 30 is relatively weakened in penetration of a part near the intake port 11, and the fuel spray S2 of the second injector 31 is relatively weakened in penetration of a part near a rotor 6. The fuel is injected by the first injector 30 in a low rotation first operation area (I), particularly, in a low load-low rotation area R1, and the fuel is injected by the second injector 31 in an area R2 on the higher load or higher rotation side than that area.
