Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotary piston type flowmeter, although a rotor constructed to output uneven pulse signals, with which it is possible to measure a firm flow velocity.SOLUTION: Provided is a rotary piston type flowmeter comprising: a rotor 5 arranged to be capable of oscillating rotation in a measurement chamber 2a so as to measure a given amount of flow per rotation and outputting N pulse signals per rotation; a sensor 11 for detecting pulse signals outputted along with the rotation of the rotor 5; a counter unit for counting pulse signals from a sensor; a timer for measuring an elapsed time from when a pulse signal is detected till when the next pulse signal is detected; and a control unit which, each time a pulse signal is detected, calculates a flow velocity on the basis of the time needed for the rotor 5 to make one revolution until the pulse signal is detected.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
