Abstract:
To provide a rotary press requiring a slight material and cost when a plate cylinder is driven at printing and image forming operation.
The rotary press is provided with a plate cylinder 8 which can be driven together with at least another cylinder at printing operation with a gear transmission, and a device for forming an image of a plate on the plate cylinder 8. A clamp ring 42 and a spacer 43 are attached between a gear 38 for driving the plate cylinder 8 at printing operation and the plate cylinder 8. The plate cylinder 8 can be driven by an auxiliary drive motor 30 at image forming operation.
