To provide a rotary shaft which is capable of preventing wear by enhancing holding force of a lubricant in a spiral groove for feed, a feeding device and motor as well as method of manufacturing the rotary shaft.
On the occasion of manufacturing the rotary output shaft 22 used to the feeding device 10 and the stepping motor 20, the method comprises step of performing barrel treatment for the rotary shaft by media for a first barrel which is a size enough to reach a flank surface 24 of the spiral groove 23 of the rotary shaft in roughening process after, at first, in process of forming the spiral groove, forming the spiral groove 23 with respect to a shaft itself comprising a copper alloy such as a brass by processing such as rolling, cutting and grinding. Consequently, the holding force of grease within the spiral groove 23 is enhanced because of being formed with a plurality of fine recessed parts 25, 25 on the flank surface 24.
