Title:
ROTARY SHAFT SUPPORTING STRUCTURE FOR VERTICAL PUMP
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2003278686
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide a rotary shaft supporting structure for a vertical pump capable of improving maintenance and performance and reducing its size by always holding the lower part of the rotary shaft, to which an impeller is attached, by magnetic force of a permanent magnet in a state of non-contact with a fixed side pump member and at the rotation center without depending on a mechanical bearing.

In this vertical pump, a motor 3 arranged in the body pipe 2 upper part and the impeller 9 arranged inside a pump chamber 6 formed in a casing 5 arranged continuously to the lower end of the body pipe are connected together via the rotary shaft 10. A rotary magnet 11 is arranged in the rotary shaft 10, while a stationary magnet 13 is arranged in the fixed side pump member in compliance with the rotary magnet 11. The rotary shaft 10 is held around the rotation center by the magnetic force generated by reaction between a magnetic field of the rotary magnet 11 and that of the stationary magnet 13.
