Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the rotary spray coater and rotary spray coating method by which metalli-finish coating and ordinary surface coating are performed with one rotary spray coater without deteriorating the coating quality.
SOLUTION: This rotary spray coater has a cupped spray head 4 fixed to a rotating shaft 3 and rotated along with the shaft, a first shaping air blowoff port 7 for blowing the shaping air against the rear surface of the head from below the front end of the head 4, a second shaping air blowoff port 8 furnished before the first shaping air blowoff port 7 and blowing the shaping air against the front edge o the head 4 from behind the front end of head 4. Further, in the coating, the shaping air is blown only from the first blowoff port 7 when a an ordinary surface is coated, and, in the metallic-finish coating, the shaping air is blown at least from the second blowoff port 8.
