To provide a rotary stamp whose stamping face always shielded by a shutter, can be easily changed.

This rotary stamp comprises the following components: (1) a rotary stamping element 6 on which an endless print belt 2 is suspended between a plurality of rotors 3 arranged on a rotary stamping element frame 5 and a bridging part 4c, (2) a sheath body 8 which cloaks the rotary stamping element 6 freely ascendably in such a state that the rotor 3 is exposed to the outside, (3) a resilient member 10 which resiles so as to allow the apex of the sheath body 8 to be always positioned forward of the stamping face of the rotary stamping element 6, and (4) a shutter member 9 which is arranged at a position close to the apex opening of the sheath body 8 and is always totally closed so that the stamping face does not disclose itself to the apex opening of the sheath body 8 but which opens gradually to the ascent of the sheath body 8 by a stamping operation. In addition, a locking mechanism is incorporated which can retain the shutter member 9 in a half-opening state so as to allow peeping of the print arrangement of the stamping face of the rotary stamping element 6 through the apex opening of the sheath body 8.
