Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotary tool having improved wear behavior.SOLUTION: A rotary tool extending along a longitudinal axis (8) comprises a front face (14), a center tip (20) and at least one main cutting edge (16) extending outwardly to a cutting edge corner (22). The main cutting edge (16) adjoins a first flank section (32), which further adjoins a second flank section (34). To reduce the load, especially the wear, in the region of the front face (14), the first flank section (32) has a lower average roughness (R) than the second flank section (34).
