To provide a rotary tool that can release torque transmission under a desired condition.SOLUTION: The rotary tool comprises: a rotationally driving part that rotationally drives a rotating shaft; a rotary shaft connected to the rotating shaft; a flange member fixed to the rotary shaft; an engagement convex part that protrudes from an outer peripheral surface of the flange member and can move in a radial direction; a rotary blade; a ring member fixed to the rotary blade; and an engagement concave part provided on an inner peripheral surface of the ring member. The engagement convex part is energized to outside in the radial direction of the flange member. The flange member and the ring member can rotate integrally while making the engagement convex part and the engagement concave part engage with each other. In a state where the flange member and the ring member rotate integrally, when torque exceeding a predetermined value is applied to a space between the flange member and the ring member, the engagement convex part and the engagement concave part are detached from each other, so that the integral rotation thereof is released.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
