Abstract:
PURPOSE: To detect an absolute position by using a pair of rotary plates rotating with different rotational ratios from each other.
CONSTITUTION: A main rotary plate 21 and a subordinate rotary plate 22 rotating with different rotational ratios from each other are used. The main rotary plate 21 generates first and second pulses being different in a phase and generates a third pulse by one in one rotation, while the subordinate rotary plate 22 generates a fourth pulse by one in one rotation, and an absolute value is detected by using each pulse.
