PURPOSE: To provide a compact rotary valve type fuel injection valve device, which has a large flow capacity and which can be synchronized with the rotation of an engine and of which phase at the time of opening and closing can be easily controlled and which can be installed in an intake system and a cylinder head of the engine.
CONSTITUTION: Drive of a flow passage connecting/disconnecting valve l is synchronized with the rotation of an engine. As a method for driving the valve, a mechanism having a mechanical connection from the rotation of a cam shaft 31 of the engine is used, or an electric motor, of which rotation can be controlled synchronously with the phase of the cam shaft 31 is used. In a two-cycle engine, a crankshaft is used for the reference of phase in place of the cam shaft 31. In response to the requirement of the engine performance, a mechanism for controlling the timing of opening and closing the valve in response to a change of the engine speed and a change of load is added so that the phase of the injection timing, which enables the stratified charging operation characteristic in the gas fuel, can be controlled.
