To provide a rotary valve capable of appropriately regulating a rotational amount and a position of a valve element even if an electric actuator is detached.
The rotary valve has: a stopper engaging part 20 formed at a stem 15 and having different shapes in the circumferential direction; a holding part 21 formed below the stopper engaging part 20 with a predetermined gap between and having different shapes in the circumferential direction; a stopper plate 23 engaged with and held on the stopper engaging part 20 and having a stopper piece 25 formed at the outer peripheral part; a pressing plate 26 held between the holding part 21 and the stopper engaging part 20, and having an insertion hole 27 with the same shape as the holding part 21; and a stopper screw 28 for fixing the pressing plate 26 to a valve body 1, and for regulating the rotating amount and the position of the stem 15 by abutting on the stopper piece 25 of the stopper plate 23.
