Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotary valve capable of easily and surely locking a handle while keeping a desired opening of a valve element for a long period with a simple structure.SOLUTION: A rotary valve includes a valve casing 3 provided with a flow channel inside thereof, a valve element disposed in the valve casing 3, and opening and closing the flow channel by rotation, a valve shaft 5 connected to the valve element, a mount 11 for making the valve shaft 5 project from the valve casing 3, and a handle 6 covering the mount 11, and mounted on the valve shaft 5. The mount 11 is provided with a plurality of projections 14, 14,... annularly disposed at intervals to surround the valve shaft 5, and a lock member 7 rotated in accompany with the rotation of the valve shaft 5, or sliding among the plurality of projections 14, 14,.... The lock member 7 has a length in the direction orthogonal to the valve shaft 5, and is provided with engagement wall portions 19A, 19B engaged with the projections 14 in the longitudinal direction, and cutouts 30 through which the projections 14, 14,... are relatively passed in the rotation.
