PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a handle to be locked and an opening or closing position of a valve body to be positively maintained even if a rotary valve has two raised-up wall parts spaced apart by 180 degrees around a valve axis.SOLUTION: Rotation regulation means R of a valve body 20 is arranged at a valve main body 10 and includes raised-up wall parts 13, 14 spaced apart by 180 degrees around a valve shaft 30; and a rotation regulation protrusion 42 arranged at a handle block 40. When the valve body is set at its open position, a regulation surface 42a is engaged with an engaging surface 13a and in turn when the valve body is placed at its closed position, a regulation surface 42b is engaged with an engagement surface 14a. Lock means L of a handle 50 has a side edge 54x of the handle and a protrusion end 56a of a lock block. Further, a side edge 54x is engaged with the engagement surface 14a when the valve body is placed at an open position at a handle pull-down position and a protrusion end 56a is engaged with an engagement surface 14b when the valve body is placed at its closed position, respectively, and a turning of the handle is prohibited. At the pulling-up position of the handle, the side edge 54x and the protrusion end 56a are moved away from the wall part to allow the handle to rotate.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 10
