Abstract:
To provide a rotary valve which can inhibit occurrence of cavitation.SOLUTION: A rotary valve 1 has: a valve box 2 in which a tubular passage for flowing a fluid is formed and a first valve box valve seat 9 and a second valve box valve seat 10 are respectively formed at the inflow port side of the passage and the outflow port side respectively; a valve body 3 having a first valve body 14 provided with a first valve body valve seat 13 which contacts or separates away from the first valve box valve seat 9 to open or close the inflow port and a second valve body 16 provided with a second valve body valve seat 15 which contacts or separates away from the second valve box valve seat 10 to open or close the outflow port, the valve body 3 provided with a penetration passage 17 for passing a fluid located between the first valve body 14 and the second valve body 16; a valve stem 4 which is connected to the valve body 3 and rotates the valve body 3 around its axis; and a gas introduction passage 5 which is located at the downstream side of the first valve box valve seat 9 of the valve box 2 and the upstream side of the second valve box valve seat 10 and sends a gas from the exterior of the valve box 2 to the interior.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
