To provide a rotary walking beam conveying apparatus, radically minimizing rolling and slip-down of a pipe occuring when a walking beam transfers the pipe, whereby misalignment of the end of the pipe can be prevented.
This rotary walking beam conveying apparatus conveys the pipe in the direction orthogonal to the longitudinal direction of the pipe from pipe receiving tables 7, 9 to elevating V-stands 12, 13 elevating in alignment with the center of processing machines 5, 6. The walking beam 8 includes: a beam 15 making a circular motion while keeping in parallel to the horizontal line; a V-stand 16a having a V-valley for placing the pipe and provided on the beam; and a shift mechanism 31 for moving the V-stand 16a to the beam 15 in the direction orthogonal to the longitudinal direction of the pipe.
