In this rotary wheel type aluminum tube extruder by which the aluminum tube B is extruded from a forming die 18 by providing a driven type rotary wheel 11 having an endless groove 11a on the outer peripheral surface and a fixed shoe member 15 having an inside projection 15a which is engaged with the endless groove 11a, forming a transfer passage 16 for aluminum material A between the endless groove 11a and the fixed shoe member 5 and also providing an extruder chamber 17 which is communicated with the outlet side of the transfer passage 16 and forming die 18 in the inside of the fixed shoe member 15. In the extruder chamber 17, the flow cross-sectional area C of the aluminum material A flowing through the chamber 17 is not smaller than ten times of a target design cross-sectional area D of the aluminum tube B to be extruded from the forming die 18.
