To provide a rotary wheel type continuous extrusder and a method of manufacturing a metal extruded product, wherein heating for smoothly performing extrusion is easily and efficiently performed to attain stable production of the metal extruded product.
The rotary wheel type continuous extruder 10 is provided with: a base stock guiding passage 6 which is formed by covering a portion of a groove 2 provided on the outer peripheral surface of a rotary wheel 1 by each inner peripheral surface of a plurality of shoes 4 and a feed plate 4a; a die 7 which is arranged by abutting on the outer surface of the feed plate 4a arranged at the downstream end of the base stock guiding passage 6; and a plurality of backup rings 8 arranged by superposing on the surface of the opposite side of the side of the feed plate 4a of the die 7. The heater blocks 22 are extended on both sides of the die 7 and the feed plate 4a so as to sandwich them, the heat radiating surfaces of the heater blocks 22 are arranged closely to the die 7 and the feed plate 4a, and a heater 21 is embedded in the heater blocks 22.
