To achieve removing and eliminating performance for attached matter on a wire, and its reliability by rotation or eccentric rotation of a spiral wire brush, and scattering of cleaning agent.

In a wire brush device, a wire (a) is inserted into a spiral wire brush disposed in a wire carrying passage X-X, and attached matter such as lubricant on a wire is removed by the wire brush. An end part of the spiral wire brush is fixed on an installation hole provided at an end part of a rotation shaft bearing provided with a wire guide hole 4a to form a rotary wire brush 10, and rotation drive means 5, 6 are provided to be continuous with the rotation shaft bearing. This rotary wire brush device is composed as the rotary wire brush 10 in which an eccentric installation hole is provided at the end part of the rotation shaft bearing to eccentrically fix the end part of the spiral wire brush for rotating it eccentrically to an axial line of a wire guide hole 4a. A cleaning agent scattering means 7 is provided facing the rotary wire brush 10.
