PURPOSE: To obtain a rotary working machine capable of effectively preventing dashing in spite of its being a small-sized lightweight machine and efficiently carrying out tilling operation without causing rolling in of grass and straw to filling shaft or biting of stone to power transmission mechanism or without making residual tilting part.

CONSTITUTION: A tilting shaft 8 is constituted as a double structure comprising an inner shaft 12 and an outer cylinder 13 inserted into the periphery of the inner shaft 12 and having claws installed in the periphery and power transmission mechanisms 19a and 19b are arranged in both end parts of the tilling shaft 8 to give a side drive mechanism and further, the outer cylinder 13 is divided into plural cylinder elements 13a to 13c which are independently rotatable and rotating direction of mutually adjacent cylinder elements 13a to 13c are constituted to be different between these adjacent cylinder elements 13a to 13c.
