Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid a collision between a rod tip and a periphery of an opening part and to effectively prevent the rod tip from breaking or the like by inserting the rod tip of a lower rod into a mill hole after positioning the same to the mill first and moreover restraining the rod tip form having torque within a mill hole in the inserted position.
SOLUTION: Prior to insertion of the rod tip 61a of the lower rod 6 into the mill hole 4a, a shaft part 61b being a lower section of the lower rod 6 is inserted into a guide hole (g) which is formed between a partial cylindrical surface 41c of a mill main body 41 and two orthogonal surfaces 42b of a striking plate 42. Since a positioning function is maintained between the lower rod 6 itself and the mill 4, when a positional relation between an upper rod and the mill 4 is determined and the mill 4 is knocked against a mill attaching hole, the lower rod 6 is easily and surely positioned to the mill 4 and simply attached even in the case that the rod tip 61a is small. After inserting, relative sliding in the axial direction between the shaft part 61b of the lower rod 6 and the guide hole (g) is allowed, relative rotation is inhibited, and a torque generating in the lower rod 6 by a contacting pressure of a lower roll is not transmitted to the rod tip 61a.
